Clearing existing error codes on LAARS FTCW, FTHW,FTCF,FTHF during NEW INSTALLATION

Clearing existing error codes on LAARS FTCW, FTHW,FTCF,FTHF during NEW INSTALLATION

It has been noticed that during a few NEW installations of LAARS FTCW,FTHW,FTCF,FTHF (ALL SIZES AND MODELS) there may be existing error codes from manufacturing that were not cleared at the factory prior to boxing the unit.

These existing error codes include but are not limited to errors 80, 44, 80, 29, 43, 35, 45, 32.
It is suggested that the installer clear ALL existing error codes and perform a SYSTEM INITIALIZE upon first start up of new installations.

All of this information is in the I/O manual and online for each model.

1)  Start by turning off the power to the DISPLAY controller. This is achieved by pressing and releasing the lower left hand button of the display controller. This button icon looks like a circle with an opening at the top of it .
2) Then, with the power to the display OFF , press and hold the the top left button of the display for more than FIVE SECONDS. This button icon looks like FOUR SQUARES with the top left square being a darker color.
3) Then, rotate the DIAL (large knob) that is in the center of the display controller until you see 3:IN on the screen then tap (press) the dial (knob) once and rotate the dial (knob) to the right to see "ON" on the screen. With "ON" on the screen then tap (press) the center dial (knob) once to enter this selection.
4) Finish by pressing the top left button of the display controller (this icon again looks like FOUR Squares with the top left square being darker).
5) Now press the lower left hand button of the display controller (this icon looks like a circle with an opening at the top of it) once to turn the display back on.

This 3:IN initializes the boiler to factory settings and defaults AND deletes ALL existing error codes from memory.
You will then have to go thru INSTALLER PARAMETERS to select temperatures (OH, OL CH,CL,OF, DHW), etc. for your particular installation.
