LAARS NeoTherm XTR Dual Element Domestic HW Tank Sensor
This bulletin clarifies how to wire a domestic hot water (DHW)
sensor to NeoTherm XTR models.
The domestic water temperature sensor used with NeoTherm XTR
models is a dual element style. This is a single sensor with two elements, to
provide additional accuracy and safety. Both elements need to be wired to the
unit for proper operation.
Wiring:
|
- Connect the brown and white
wires to terminals 31 and 32 on the low voltage board.
- Connect the yellow and green
wires to terminals 33 and 34 on the low voltage board.
|
When connected, the unit will automatically detect the presence
of the sensor, and will perform the DHW thermostat function based on the
settings selected via the DHW or DHW3 parameter screens. The
temperature is displayed on the home screen, below the faucet icon.
The controller initiates a call for heat, maintaining the set
point within the on and off hysteresis values selected via the DHW or DHW3
demand screen, without any need for jumpers.
